Error and Fix Reference

Use this table when you see an error message or when support mentions an error code.

Code	What it means	What you should try	Contact support if
`INVALID_TOKEN`	Sign-in or session token is invalid, expired, or already used.	Request a new email sign-in link or sign in again.	New links fail repeatedly.
`INVALID_REFRESH_TOKEN`	Your saved sign-in session can no longer be refreshed.	Sign in again with a new email link, Google, or Apple.	You are signed out repeatedly in a short period.
`MISSING_TOKEN`	A protected request was made without sign-in credentials.	Sign in again.	It happens immediately after a successful sign-in.
`USER_NOT_FOUND`	The app could not find the account for the current token.	Sign out and sign in again with the correct email.	The same email still fails.
`ACCOUNT_SUSPENDED` / `BANNED`	The account is restricted following a safety review. A suspension states the date it ends; a ban does not end.	The app explains it and we email the same, including how to appeal.	You believe the decision is wrong.
`PING_SUSPENDED`	Sending pings is paused following a safety review. The rest of the account is unaffected and pings still arrive.	Wait for the date in the email, or appeal to the safety address.	Pings are still refused after the date given.
`NO_PASSWORD_SET`	A password sign-in was attempted, but consumer accounts are passwordless.	Sign in with an email link, Google, or Apple instead.	These methods also fail.
`USERNAME_TAKEN`	Another account already uses that username.	Choose a different one.	You believe the name belongs to your own account.
`INVALID_USERNAME` / `USERNAME_FORMAT` / `USERNAME_TOO_SHORT` / `USERNAME_TOO_LONG`	The username does not meet the rules.	Use letters, numbers, dots, and underscores, within the length limit.	A normal name is rejected repeatedly.
`USERNAME_NOT_ALLOWED` / `INVALID_USERNAME_CONTENT`	The username contains blocked or unsafe content.	Choose something without contact details, links, or blocked words.	A plain name is rejected.
`USERNAME_RATE_LIMITED`	The 14-day username change cooldown is running.	The message gives the unlock date.	The date has passed and it is still refused.
`AVATAR_RATE_LIMITED`	The 14-day avatar change cooldown is running.	Wait until the date shown.	The date has passed and it is still refused.
`INVALID_AVATAR`	Avatar configuration is missing required parts.	Reopen the builder and save a complete avatar.	Avatar assets never load.
`AGE_REQUIRED` / `INVALID_AGE_RANGE`	No valid age band was recorded.	Choose an age band on the age step.	The displayed option fails.
`INVALID_SEX`	The "about you" value is invalid.	Choose one of the displayed options.	The displayed option fails.
`INVALID_ROUTING`	The quiz's who/situation pair is not a valid combination.	Answer question 1 again, then question 2.	Valid answers keep failing.
`INVALID_DEPTH` / `INVALID_OPENNESS` / `INVALID_VIBE`	A quiz answer is out of range.	Choose one of the displayed options.	The displayed option fails.
`ONBOARDING_INCOMPLETE`	Bonded cannot complete onboarding yet.	Finish the next onboarding step shown.	You are stuck with no next step.
`DECK_REQUIRED`	A ritual was created without a selected deck.	Go back and choose a deck.	A deck is selected but the error remains.
`PACK_NOT_FOUND`	The selected deck does not exist or is inactive.	Choose a visible deck.	A visible deck always fails.
`PACK_NOT_OWNED`	Your account does not have access to that deck.	Choose Starter, or start Premium.	You believe you already own the deck.
`WEEKLY_SESSION_LIMIT`	The free hosted-ritual limit is reached.	Wait for the rolling 7-day reset, or start Premium.	Remaining rituals look wrong after the reset time.
`SESSION_ALREADY_OPEN`	You already have a ritual open.	Bonded routes you into it. Finish or end it first.	No ritual is visible anywhere.
`SESSION_FULL`	Someone else has already joined that ritual.	Ask your partner to start a new one.	You were the original guest.
`SESSION_NOT_FOUND`	The code, ID, or link does not match a ritual.	Ask the host for a new code or link.	A fresh invite fails immediately.
`SESSION_NOT_JOINABLE`	The ritual is completed, abandoned, or otherwise not open.	Ask the host to create a new one.	New waiting rituals fail.
`CANNOT_JOIN_OWN_SESSION`	The host attempted to join their own ritual as guest.	Share the code with another person.	You are not the host but see this.
`FORBIDDEN`	Your account or guest token is not allowed to access that ritual or resource.	Sign in with the right account, or use the correct invite.	You are a participant and still cannot access it.
`VALUE_REQUIRED`	Private Pulse did not receive a valid slider value.	Move the slider and lock in again.	The slider always fails.
`PREMIUM_REQUIRED`	The feature is only available with Premium.	Use free features, or start/restore Premium.	You have active Premium and still see this.
`CAPSULE_NOT_FOUND`	The Memory Capsule does not exist or is not available to your account.	Open a visible capsule from your list.	A listed capsule opens this error.
`SEARCH_TOO_SHORT`	Fewer than 3 characters typed.	Type more of the username.	—
`SEARCH_NOT_SEARCHABLE`	The query looks like an email or phone number.	Search by username only.	—
`SEARCH_RATE_LIMITED`	Too many searches in a short period.	Wait and try again.	It persists after a long wait.
`INVALID_CONNECTION_TARGET` / `SELF_ACTION`	The connection or block target is invalid, or is your own account.	Choose another person.	A valid person is refused.
`PING_KIND_INVALID`	The ping vibe is not recognised.	Update the app and try again.	The current app still fails.
`PING_MESSAGE_NOT_ALLOWED`	A build tried to attach text to a ping. Pings carry no custom text.	Update the app.	It persists after updating.
Ping rate limit / `429`	The per-connection ping cooldown is active.	Wait until the time shown in Friends.	The timer has passed but the ping is still blocked.
`PROFILE_ANSWER_NOT_ALLOWED` / `PROFILE_BIO_NOT_ALLOWED`	The text contains a link or blocked content.	Rewrite it without links, within the community rules.	Ordinary text is rejected.
`PROFILE_ANSWER_TOO_LONG` / `PROFILE_BIO_TOO_LONG`	Over the character limit.	Shorten it.	—
`PROFILE_ANSWER_EMPTY`	Nothing was written.	Write something first.	—
`PROFILE_ANSWER_LIMIT_REACHED`	Every prompt slot on your plan is used.	Delete one, or start Premium.	Your plan should allow more.
`PROFILE_DECORATION_PREMIUM`	Card colours and feelings are a Premium feature.	Save without decoration, or start Premium.	You have active Premium.
`PROFILE_ANSWERS_DISABLED` / `PROMPT_NOT_ACTIVE`	Prompts, or that specific prompt, are unavailable right now.	Try again later, or pick another prompt.	It persists for days.
`REPORT_REASON_INVALID`	No valid report reason was chosen.	Pick a reason from the list.	Every reason is refused.
`INVALID_GIFT_CODE`	The gift code cannot be found or redeemed.	Check the complete code and try again.	A newly issued code is rejected.
`GIFT_CODE_EXPIRED` / `GIFT_CODE_DISABLED` / `GIFT_CODE_DEPLETED` / `GIFT_CODE_NOT_YET_ACTIVE`	The code expired, was disabled, is fully used, or is not active yet.	Ask the sender or support for a valid code.	A code you just received shows this.
`ALREADY_REDEEMED`	You already redeemed this code on this account.	No action needed; Premium is already applied.	Premium did not activate after redeeming.
